HA did you think I was done with the scarves?

Yet another scarf in Kauni, this one also done in the feather and fan pattern

And one more Kauni scarf, this time just in garther stitch. One can be lazy at times ;)

Something different............

Well, at least is something different from the scarves.

A babysweater in sock yarn, and done with short rows.

About time

Well, I guess it is about time I get this updated.

I have kept my knitting needles clicking away throughout the past months, and they are still clicking.

Among the finished things I have made is this little babysweater in sockyarn, knit using the short row technique.

A handful of babyhats, also done in sock yarn

Then I went into scarf mode, made this in rainbow colored Kauni

Another scarf in mohair from the paradise of BC yarn

Found this Chinese hand dyed wool at Ebay, so just had to try it out, especially as it came with free shipping ;)

Well, I finally finished the Presto Chango I started on long before the baby was born. The pattern was one I found through Ravelry. A very easy pattern, so I will probably make another one for him, if his mother likes this one ;)

The yarn used is a bit thick, which I am not happy about. Babies and worsted weight yarn don't go together in my opinion. I also find the sleeves a bit too long.

My blue pants

Look, I am wearing the blue pants, that my great cousin made for me, and they fit :) :) Well, that will be only for another week or two, then I will have outgrown them, like I outgrow everything. They say I grow like weed, but I don't know what a weed is; hopefully it is something good.

Blue for the boy

My cousin wanted some knit pants for her baby. Some that made him look like a baby :) after all, he is only 4 months old. So I found an old pattern and started knitting.

The pants are made in soft cotton on needles 3½mm.

However, I am not too happy with the ribbing at the top of the pants. Although it is done on needles 2½, it seems awfully loose and floppy, so I made a chroscht string, so she can tie them around his belly.

I have an order for another pair, and this time I will knit an elastic thread in with the ribbing for a better fit.

Here we are

Here we are. little Christian and me. The picture was taken on Dec 23rd, he was only 11 weeks then, but already a big boy. He was just about ready for his nap, so he looks a little tired.

OK I did cheat a bit

OK, I did cheat abit, but his is the first sweater I have completely finished this year.

I made it for my little great cousin for Christmas, but didn't finish it in time, so it turned 2009 before I got the buttons sewed in.

The sweater is done in pure cotton from "Brugsen", but found it very hard and stiff to work with, although it did turn somewhat softer after washing the sweater.

A new year has just begun, and it is time for a new blog for 2009.

Here I will show you my knittings throughout the year, and tell a little about what is going on in my life in 2009.
